Wayfinding is the core of my business – 1:1 Self Development Guidance in a series of sessions designed for transformation and the development of personalized spiritual self leadership.
I help people find their Way. Navigating, learning, seeking, creating, connecting and studying with my clients, I create a relationship with them as a Wayfinder, a relationship that often begins with a conversation. Before we have that conversation, I’d like to let you know what tools I often use as a Wayfinder.
Tarot Consultation
I often begin with clients by offering a Tarot Reading. My readings are deep dives, usually lasting between 60 and 90 minutes, and give us a sense of what’s going on in your world, right now. Think of them as a location pin.
I see the cards as a reflection of your subconscious mind, brought forth in a symbolic language to your conscious mind within the reading. We will often spend about 15-30 minutes discussing what you’d like to ask your cards. This will allow us to distill a question, and from that question form a spread to answer it.
From that point, my cards become your cards. You will verbalize the question, I will pick the cards, and we will spend the next 30 to 60 minutes exploring the potential meanings and metaphorical language of these cards. From this point, this location pin, I can give you information, wisdom and guidance.
Astrological Consultation
If a Tarot consultation is the location pin, an Astrology consultation is the map, the compass and the blueprint of your journey. As a Wayfinder, it’s my responsibility to serve you best by describing to you what exactly your soul came here to do. And that’s exactly what a Natal Chart shows.
Astrology shows the planets under which you were born, how those planets imparted you with an energetic signature, and can deepen our understanding of where exactly you are in your journey, how you got there, and where you might be going on your Way.
Much like a Tarot Consultation, we will meet together to explore your chart, unpacking the information I see within it. This will often last anywhere from 90 to 120 minutes as we focus on planetary signatures, archetypes and their living, breathing role in your life.
I use Astrology to create a story with you together, and within this initial Astrological consultation we can approach it in two ways – First, we can focus on the how, the why, and the where of the ways you are the way you are, psychologically, socially and spiritually.
Second, we can focus on what you are driven to do with a clearer Astrological self understanding, as this story we weave often leads to other stories, other questions, and further research into how Astrology can be a map, a compass and a blueprint along your Way.
Wayfinding Consultation
As we deepen our working relationship together, we begin to Wayfind. This process begins with exploring what you carry with you – your backpack in this journey. Oftentimes in this third session we are unpacking your backpack. All of the tools that have served you so far, and some that may be weighing you down.
Sometimes this session can simply focus on working to integrate what we have learned in the Tarot and Astrology consultations. Other times, it can be a container to explore aspects of your journey that have taught you thus far, and how you are applying those lessons. Your backpack may be full of items you need to let go of – things to release, to unlearn, to simply let go of when you are ready.
Wayfinding sessions become creative, and every session is different according to your needs in the moment. I have many tools in my Wayfinder’s backpack, and will choose from them to serve you as needed. Three of the tools I would like to share with you now are the drum, the lantern, and the books.
The drum is symbolic of music, the arts, and your ancestral ways.
The lantern is symbolic of the light that guides you, that you hold in yourself and use to illuminate the darker places, possibly the shadows as well.
The books are symbolic of wisdom, knowledge, and what you can choose to study along your Way. This can include Astrology and Tarot, and often Wayfinding Consultations will lead to tutoring, workshops and courses on these systems. They can also lead to reading assignments and discussions of books and material that will support you as you continue along your Way.
There are many more places Wayfinding can take us. This is simply a 3 step summary of how I choose to work with the majority of my clients, and to give a deeper sense of my approach to Wayfinding.
